Roller blinds have always been known as a rather simple window accessory they have always been a rather affordable alternative to the usual curtains. They are usually made up of a spring loaded tube surrounded by a thickened paper. One can pull the blinds down to block the light and make it dark or pull it again to let the light filter in. The market today offers roller blinds that are operated by an electric motor rather than a hand pulled cord. In most cases these electric motor operated roller blinds come with a remote. Which makes the entire exercise of shading or not shading the space as easy as pushing a button.
