ENERGY SAVING LIGHT BULBS: MYTHS AND FACTS

1. It is a myth that these bulbs are not capable of producing same output of the light as the traditional bulbs did. But this is not true, energy saving light bulbs can produce the same light output that too with using mere 20% of the power used by the traditional bulbs.
2. Another myth is that these bulbs do not stylish and therefore don’t match with some fittings. Reality is that energy saving light bulbs now comes in the similar pattern and shapes like traditional bulbs such as classic, spotlights, candle, etc. Not fitting the fittings is completely out of question.
3. The energy saving light bulbs use mercury and hence are not environment friendly is yet another myth that people believe in. here the fact against the myth is that today, all producers of bulbs use amalgam, a substitute of mercury, so that there is zero % harm to the environment and for ease of storage and transportation. The bulbs can also be recycled easily.
So, before believing in anything, make sure that you have properly researched about it.
